Walkley man Neale Gibson appeared on TV this week in a repeat episode of Channel 4's Come Dine With Me.

Vegetarian Neale was the first to host a dinner party on the programme which sees as a group of strangers compete for the title of ultimate dinner party host a £1,000 cash prize.

Before the show he said he's devoted his entire life to eating as well as he possibly can.

His dinner began with a starter of nettle and potato soup with wheaten bread.

Followed by a main course of ragout of forest mushrooms and chesnuts in filo baskets (accompanied by potato champ cakes, honey baked parsnips and braised red cabbage.)

And for desert, Neale treated hi guests to a sweet trio of pickled pears, raspberry sorbet and oatcakes.
