Course offers practical advice to parents

An eight-week parenting course begins at St Vincent’s Catholic Church in Crookes tonight (April 26).
The Veritas Parenting Programme is aimed at the parents of five to 15-year-old children who want tips about practical skills to help them be more responsible and effective.
Family support worker Laura Rendell will run the sessions each Thursday from 7.30pm.
Fr Paddy Walsh of St Vincent’s said: “It’s very practical stuff. It’s not religious as such but over and over again people come back and say they’ve learned so much from it.”
