The expansion to Morrisons superstore on Meadowhead looks set to continue for some considerable time, causing restricted parking and loss of amenities.
A spokesperson from the store said: "We had hoped the work would be complete by Christmas, but it looks as if it will be longer than that."
The only visible signs of prgress so far are some large holes being excavated by diggers.
