As voters go to the polls on May 3, local woman and parish councillor, Katie Condliffe, will be contesting the marginal ward of Stannington for the Lib Dems.

Katie lives in Loxley and is a local parish councillor for Stannington on Bradfield Parish Council. She was first elected to Bradfield Parish Council in a by-election in 2008 with an incredible 79% of the vote.

During her three years as parish councillor, Katie has been in constant contact with local people within the ward. She works closely with local community groups and volunteers as a school governor at a local primary school.

Katie is currently fighting Labour’s plan to allocate green land in Stannington and Worral for new housing. She is also campaigning for improved parking in Stannington and Bradfield.
