Local man Alan Hooper continues to fight for local area
Date: 29/04/2012. Story submitted by: ShaffaqM Lib Dem
As voters go to the polls on May 3, local man and parish councillor, Alan Hooper, will be contesting the West Ecclesfield ward for the Lib Dems.
Alan lives in Grenoside and has been a local parish councillor for his area for more than ten years.
Alan is currently campaigning against cuts to the Northern Community Assembly, which was used to support community groups and road safety projects. He’s fighting Labour’s plan to return to their ‘favoured areas’ policy.
Alan is a former manager at the Royal Mail and has been a Grenoside resident for over 40 years. He is a Governor at Grenoside Community Primary School, a Trustee of Grenoside Reading Room and a Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Sheffield. He has also lead on the local Grenoside in Bloom.
Alan enjoys walking in the woodlands around Grenoside with his dog and family and is an avid Sheffield United Supporter.
You can contact Alan at alanhoops@alanhoops.f9.co.uk or 0114 2463 692.
