This year’s Chase4Life 5K race takes place on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 17) at Abbeydale Sports Club.

Chase4Life is a men’s race organised by cancer survivor Joe Carter who wanted to give something back and help other cancer patients.

The event took place for the first time last year and raised over £8,000 for Cancer Research UK. This year, the money raised will go to Weston Park Hospital,

Joe said: "I realised that there wasn't a men’s 'Race for Life' on the same scale as the women's so last year’s event took place with over 250 participants. This year Chase4Life will be raising for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity as this is where I've received all my treatment and it’s much more personal to me.”
