Mizuno lends support to Half Marathon

Leading sportswear and equipment manufacturer Mizuno has joined forces with the Sheffield Half Marathon to become official sports partner for the race.
The international company, which has its products in leading sports outlets across the globe, is showing its support for the race by making donations including runner prizes, banners and mile marker boards, an item for the runner goody bag and balloon arches for the route.
A team from Mizuno will also be at the race, which is sponsored by SIG Insulations, to showcase some of their latest sporting products to the crowds.
Rob Henderson, Mizuno UK marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to confirm our support of the Sheffield Half Marathon, adding another premier running event to Mizuno’s existing sponsorship portfolio. It’s an exciting race having gained a lot of local support and widespread interest from runners all over the country. We look forward to what will be a great day in Sheffield.”
Margaret Lilley, chair of the Sheffield Half Marathon organising committee, said: “We are thrilled to have such a world-renowned sports brand come on board to support the race and it really highlights the Sheffield Half Marathon as one of the prestigious events in the running calendar.”
The SIG Insulations Sheffield Half Marathon and 3k Fun Run will take place on Sunday, May 27 at Don Valley Stadium at 9am. The route will take runners through the city centre.
