Staff at Chesterfield’s Casa Hotel are in line for a top award – for being good bosses!

The four-star hotel has been shortlisted for for Caterer.com’s Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2012 England & Wales.

After beating off hundreds of applicants, Casa is up against four other hotels in its category.

The annual awards encourage staff across the industry to nominate the best employers to work for.

Ian Burke of Caterer.com said: "The best employers are those that truly value their employees and focus on developing all areas of their careers. The fact that these awards are judged by the employees alone gives an unbiased view of who the best employers in the industry are and we are proud to recognise and award them."

Steve Perez, owner of Casa Hotel commented: "I am overwhelmed that we have been shortlisted for this award. The excellent reviews we get are because of the fantastic staff here at Casa and I am proud that they are pleased to work here.

“To have an official award to say we are great employers is an amazing achievement."

The winners will be announced at a black tie awards ceremony on 18 June 2012.
