Local lasses bring in the money for Africa

The morning of Thursday 10th saw Stocksbridge Nursery and Infant School buzzing with activity.
Year one pupils Zoe Senior and Alissa Grant had organised a toy sale to raise funds for children in Africa. They had been concerned about the plight of children living in the shadow of war and poverty after lessons from their teacher Mrs Hutchinson.
After encouraging fellow pupils to follow their lead and clear their bedrooms of unwanted toys, the girls managed to raise a grand total of £20.
Suzy Senior, Zoe’s Mum said: “Considering they were only selling toys for about 20p, the total raised was brilliant”.
