Motorists in Barnsley are advised that South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership has published the locations where its mobile cameras are operating this week.

The partnership aims to reduce the number of casualties on local roads by reducing the number of motorists breaking the speed limit.

This week the mobile camera unit is operating on the A633 Rotherham Road, Monk Bretton; A635 Doncaster Road, Saltersbrook Road; A628 Cundy Cross to Shafton Two Gates; B6411 Houghton Road, Thurnscoe; Brierley Road, Grimethorpe; A61 Park Road; Pogmoor Road; A633 Rotherham Road, Athersley South.

Made up of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield councils, the Highways Agency, HM Courts Service and South Yorkshire Police, the partnership is one of over 40 across the UK that uses roadside safety cameras covering sites with a poor safety record.
