Sheffield student Erin Williams is riding high after bagging a string of awards at an international dressage competition.

Erin, a year 9 pupil at Sheffield High School, recently competed as part of the British dressage team at the International Dressage Competition in Holland.

The 14-year-old and her palomino mare, Dynasty, came first in the CDIO Ponies’ Team Championship and scooped second place in the Pony Kur.

Erin also rode with Fleurie in the Junior Classes and came third in the Junior Team Championship and fifth in the Junior Kur.

Her recent success seems sure to mark Erin out as a top pony and junior rider, particularly as a British pony rider has not won on foreign soil for over six years.

Thanks to her recent string of successes, Erin has been asked to compete for team GB in Compiegne, France in June and in the European Championships in July.
