Thursday was in full swing at the Last Orders beer festival at the Gardeners Rest, Neepsend Lane.
The proprietors, Pat Wilson and Eddy Munelly, are leaving the trade for a life on the water to sail the canals of Britain. Hence, Last Orders.
A busy crowd came from all over the UK, including many members of the real ale aficionado group, the Beertickers.
Pat said: “This will be our last beer festival so it would be great to see a big turnout.
“We have a good beer list with 20 hand pumps and over 25 bottled beers from Sheffield and all over the UK – so there’s a lot of choice.”
There will be live sessions of folk and blues music every day throughout the festival, which runs until Sunday.
The Gardeners Rest is open from 12 noon to 12 midnight, Monday to Friday, and 12 noon to 1am, Saturday and Sunday. Live music in the afternoon from 2pm and in the evening from 9pm.
