A 32-year-old Walkley man has been remanded in custody after being charged with murdering his mother.
Scott Hobson appeared before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Monday morning after his 57-year-old mother, Margaret Hobson, was found stabbed to death at her home on Lister Road last Friday.
Mr Hobson will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday.
Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 162 of Friday, 18 May, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
