A new bobby is pounding the streets of Bolsover.
Pc Pete Harley, who has been a Derbyshire police officer for over 10 years, has taken over from Pc Dan Evans, who is now covering the Tibshelf area.
He joins Police Community Support Officers Nicola Greenfield and Benjamin Perry.
Pc Harley said: “I’ve worked in and around the Bolsover area for most of my policing career so I’m familiar with the area.
"As well as getting to know the community I’m aware that issues around anti-social behaviour are of concern to local residents.
“My aim is to build on the good work the team have already carried out in Bolsover and also hope to be able to take a more hands on role in supporting more vulnerable members of the community.”
In his spare time, 49-year-old Pc Harley, who is married and has a daughter who is about to start her first year at university, enjoys listening to rock music.
He added: “I also hope to be able to forge some new links and if you see me around please feel free to come and say hello.”
People can meet their local officers at a drop-in session next week.
The Bolsover Town Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team will be on hand to answer questions at the Community House on the Castle Estate between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday, 29 May.
