The popular St Luke’s Hospice Summer Fair is on the move - to Bramall Lane.
The 36th annual fair has had to move as its own hospice at Whirlow is undergoing £5m rebuilding work.
So on June 9 the event will be relocating to the St Mary’s Church and Conference Centre on Bramall Lane, from noon to 5pm.
“We are delighted that we have found somewhere as well-equipped and central St Mary’s Church and Conference Centre,” said St Luke’s Events Manager Anna Sheppard.
“It’s a great location just a short walk from the city centre, which means it will be even easier to get to by public transport and Sheffield United have offered us the use of their car park so we can meet everybody’s transport needs.”
Among the day’s attractions will be a new improved food court, including a hog roast and Kelham Island Brewery Beer Tent.
Among the many stalls will be the famous hospice book sale – including a Jubilee selection of rare Royal titles – CDs, art, jewellery and bric-a-brac.
There will also be live music throughout the afternoon and a range of special attractions for children, including a bouncy castle and face painting sessions.
