Charity donate wheelchair to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals
Date: 25/05/2012. Story submitted by: F Campbell
A charity has donated a wheelchair to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals as part of a campaign which aims to provide 60 NHS hospitals with wheelchairs, in time for the Queen’s Jubilee.
The wheelchair was donated by 'Path to Success', which funds projects which have a positive impact upon the health, welfare and educational prospects of young people and adults with disabilities, mental health and shelter concerns.
The charity’s Founder Anita Choudhrie, said the '60 for 60' campaign is a nice way to show the charity’s support to the good work of the NHS and Her Majesty’s Jubilee. She said: “We are aware of the great work that the NHS is doing to help cover patients’ requirements across the UK and we wanted to collaborate with Hospitals and help some of the patients by providing the wheelchairs."
Neil Thompson, Hotel Services Deputy Manager said: “The wheelchair will be of great help to many future patients at the hospital.”
