A year 8 pupil from Sheffield High School is busy raising money after being selected to represent Great Britain in the JCC Maccabi Games.
Hannah Grunwerg will jet off to the States in August as part of the first dance squad ever to be taken by Great Britain.
The Maccabi games supports the long-term future of British Jewry by engaging communities in Jewish sporting, educational and social activities.
As part of the build up Hannah completed a 5k fun run and raised £1,000 for Maccabi Challenge, which helps send a physical or mentally challenged child on a trip to Israel.
Due to exams, Hannah couldn’t take part in the London based 5k event but instead ran her course through Sheffield parks.
Organisers of the JCC trip are delighted with Hannah’s commitment to the initiative.
