Bolsover band in demand in 2012!

Gonzo, a local band with a Union Jack logo, has been in high demand as the Jubilee approaches and the country celebrates all things British.

Based in Bolsover, the group have lined up a packed programme of gigs over the coming days and weeks, including Glapwell Music Festival on Monday and the Grouse in Chesterfield on Friday.

Although it is still early days for Gonzo as a band, the singer songwriter John Tansley has already had plenty of experience as an artist in his own right - sharing the stage with such artists as Nigel Clark from Dodgy, Chris Helme originally with the Seahorses, Mark Morriss from the Bluetones, Reef and Proud Mary.

John said: “It has been unbelievable to see the support we have had in such a young band. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and please keep spreading the word Gonzo!”
