Pet owners across Bolsover can get some advice on pet health care when a roadshow tours the area in June.

Owners can bring their animals for free check-ups which will cover their weight, eyes, teeth, ears, coat condition and general fitness as part of the PDSA service.

Bolsover District Council’s Dog Warden will be on hand to offer advice and promote responsible pet ownership - including how to curb a barking dog.

A free microchipping service, courtesy of the Dogs Trust, will also be offered when the roadshow visits the car park opposite Clowne Contact Centre on Thursday, June 14.

Bolsover councillor Dennis Kelly said: “This roadshow has proven extremely popular over the past couple of years and we want as many people as possible to come along and get some free expert advice.”

The Pet Check unit will be also be visiting other locations nearby:

* Wednesday,June 13, Shirebrook Market Place
* Friday, June 15, South Normanton, the Hub
* Saturday, June 16, Shirebrook Market Place
