Safer Neighbourhood Team officers patrolling the Wombwell and Darfield districts have tackled anti-social behaviour in response to requests from residents and businesses.
As a result, officers have seized more than £20 worth of alcohol from young people at two recreational areas in recent weeks.
In addition, SNT officers issued five youths with anti-social behaviour letters and the young people will be invited to attend a community alcohol workshop with their parents or carers.
Following the SNT's intervention at recreational areas at Wath Road and Gypsy Lane in Wombwell, the council's Neighbourhood Pride operatives have been tasked to clean up alcohol-related and any other litter.
A spokesperson for the SNT said that in response to community concerns officers would continue to remain vigilant for any instances of anti-social behaviour.
* The next meeting of the Darfield and Wombwell Crime and Safety Group will be at Ilsley Road community centre in Darfield and the Ship Croft Centre in Wombwell on Wednesday, June 20.
