Spireites sign experienced defender

Chesterfield have signed experienced defender Terrell Forbes on a one-year contract.

The 30 year old, who started his career with West Ham, helped QPR to a promotion before spells at Grimsby Town, Oldham Athletic and Yeovil Town, where he made 163 appearances.

For the last two seasons he has been a regular in the Leyton Orient side, making 73 appearances before his release last month.

Spireites manager John Sheridan said: “Terrell can play in a number of defensive positions and I am delighted he is joining us as he is a player I wanted to sign a couple of seasons ago.”

Forbes is the fourth player to sign for Chesterfield since the end of last season, joining Richard O'Donnell, Marc Richards and Sam Hird at the b2net Stadium.
