A rescue team called out to search for an elderly man missing from his Dronfield home found him cold and unconscious.
The mountain rescue team was called out in the early hours of Friday morning.
In what turned out to be a region wide response Derby MRT and Woodhead MRT were called to respond along with six search dog teams with handlers from Buxton, Glossop, Oldham and Woodhead.
After a couple of hours searching the local countryside, the man was located cold and unconscious by search dog Toby.
He was quickly assessed and evacuated to an ambulance by members of Edale and Derby Teams.
There was a strong police presence in the Hilltop Road area of Dronfield on Thursday night after reports that the man had gone missing.
A number of police officers were seen talking to residents and a police helicopter also hovered above the area for a while.
