Top junior tennis players set for Sheffield Junior Open

A record 220 junior tennis players from across England are set to compete in the Sheffield Junior Open at Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre next week.
The tournament begins at 12noon on Monday with the final scheduled for Saturday, August 11.
The eighth annual event attracts some of the best junior tennis players in the country.
“With a record number of entries this is set to be a fantastic week of tennis competition,” said Katie Higson, tennis manager at Graves.
“The sport is really taking off in Sheffield. We’ve got a superb development programme in place and the Olympics and Wimbledon have really helped to boost the profile of tennis and inspire even more people to pick up a racket.”
