Equipment assessment and demonstration centre Enable Barnsley is moving to Longcar Professional Development Centre later this month.
Managed by the council and South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust, Enable Barnsley provides free advice and assessments to people who want to find out about equipment available to support independent living.
Currently based at Wellington House, Enable Barnsley will close this Friday, August 10 and will reopen at Longcar Professional Development Centre, Longcar Lane, on Monday, August 20.
Enable Barnsley does not provide equipment itself, but staff can give advice about equipment and services and where to find them including stair lifts, mobility equipment, adjustable beds, bath lifts and raised toilet seats
Elaine Meehan, centre co-ordinator, said: "Although we are moving to a new location on Longcar Lane it will not affect the quality of the service we provide and hopefully we will be just as accessible for people wishing to use the service."
Enable Barnsley is open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, where local people can make an appointment during a drop-in session.
