Firefighters were called to a building on Trippet Lane on Wednesday night after an air conditioning unit caught fire.
The unit started giving off smoke at around 11.15pm on Wednesday, August 8 and crews from Central fire station rushed to the scene.
The electricity supply to the unit was isolated and firefighters made the scene safe.
No one was hurt in the incident.
