Oughtibridge’s Party in the Park has been reorganised for Saturday, September 8.
The event was originally planned for last month, but had to be cancelled after flooding in Coronation Park meant that it was a washout — literally.
But the weather’s been looking up lately, and the organising committee is crossing their fingers that the rearranged event will stay dry.
The event is from 1.30-5.30pm. Taking to the stage will be three local bands: Jake’s Rake, who play folk music, indie rockers The Janksys, and acoustic cover group The Repeters.
Tickets are on sale now at £3 each or £10 for families (up to two adults and three children), with youngsters under five getting in for free.
Buy them from The Cock Inn, The Hare and Hounds, Oughtibridge Post Office or Sylvia's Newsagents in Oughtibridge.
Alternatively, tickets for the original date can still be used.
