RSPCA calls for Chesterfield home-bakers

Keen bakers are being urged to get their best recipes at the ready to help put cash in the kitty for Chesterfield RSPCA.

Charity leaders are appealing for people willing to bake up some tasty treats to be sold at their annual Paws in the Park event, being held on Sunday, September 16.

Scones, cupcakes, flapjacks or biscuits – they’re all welcome. Last year they managed to sell out and raise over £300 from the refreshments alone.

The Paws in the Park Fun Dog Show will run from 11am to 4pm at Queens Park and will also include refreshments, games, stalls and micro-chipping.

If you’d like to enter your pooch in the pageant it’s £2 per class.
