The demolition of a former industrial unit off Penistone Road has begun to make way for a new community facility.
The planning application was submitted by Sheffield Wednesday Football Club who will be redeveloping the land and creating the community facility.
The plan is to create an integrated community facility which will include offices, education space, indoor and outdoor sports pitches and associated changing facilities, gym, dance and boxing studio, call centre.
Associated parking, landscaping and external works will also be carried out.
