Places for People have submitted a planning application to erect 14 houses on the Crown Sash works site at the junction of Whitehouse Lane and Langsett Road.

The 14 two and three bedroom family homes to be built would initially be let via nominations from Sheffield City Council's, according to their usual allocation policy.

Local Labour Councillor for Walkley Ben Curran is encouraging local people to comment on the application.

He said: "I would encourage local people to view the plans and feed their comments in to the planning process. This is an important development for the area and it is important that we end up with the right homes for the area."
