A top Yorkshire magician and comedian is set to cast a spell over the regions business community when he takes to the stage at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Paul Zenon, who is seen as the pioneer of UK street magic, has been announced as compere for the Sheffield Business Awards.

Paul will entertain the 1,000-strong crowd with his magic skills at the awards taking place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre on Friday.

He will be joined at the awards by Sheffield magician Steve Faulkner, who will be on hand to showcase some of his most impressive tricks.

Paul said: “I am very much looking forward to returning to my home county - an area which down the years is famous for hard graft and determination in hard times.

“It's nice to be involved in an event which encourages and rewards such in the current economic climate.

“I will hopefully be working a little magic in my role as presenter to ensure that any trace of winter blues disappear and a good night is had by all!”

The Sheffield Business Awards are designed to recognise the outstanding achievements in the region’s business community over the last 12 months.

A total of 36 companies make up the Business Awards shortlist, with industries including digital, retail, charity and manufacturing being represented in the twelve prestigious categories.
